Prospective clients for positive psychology and life coaching services may wish to visit the chesapeakecoaching.com website and familiarize themselves with this type of psychological service. As is described elsewhere, this service is intended for people who do not think of themselves as damaged or sick in any way and in need of therapy, but simply have an interest in moving toward their destiny and fulfillment of some degree of self-actualization. As a minister once said, such people do not wish to be better caterpillars, they want wings.
A prospective client who wishes to move forward, calls Chesapeake Coaching at 804-435-6777 and requests the package that contains a face sheet, a statement of office policies, and a self-addressed envelope. The client completes the face sheet, reads and signs the statement of office policies, and returns these two documents plus a photocopy of client’s driver’s license with a non-refundable check for $250.00 which covers the fee for the initial assessment and a brief written summary of our recommendations.
Once the documents and payment are received, we get in touch with you and schedule an initial assessment, during which we gather information, interview one another, and develop a preliminary plan with some ideas for plan implementation. This appointment can be in-person (preferred) or via telephone, Skype or ">FaceTime.
As long as both coach and client agree for a continued relationship, the client can purchase follow-up sessions in blocks of five (i.e., one hour per week). The fee for each five-week commitment is $800 and includes further gathering of data, tweaking of the coaching plan, and monitoring of success with plan implementation. This fee is non-refundable and all sessions take place in-person, by phone, or web-conferencing (i.e., Skype or ">FaceTime). Any request for a re-scheduling of a session (e.g., due to illness or client preference) will be accommodated to whatever extent possible but cannot be guaranteed.
The coaching relationship can continue on this basis for further five-week blocks of time until such time as the coach or client determines that maximum benefit has been achieved.
Client agrees that nothing in this collaborative relationship is to be construed as psychotherapy and the coaching relationship can be brought to an end by either party without recourse. Client agrees to indemnify and hold blameless the coach in all matters involving professional services and associated fees.
We look forward to working with you!
